Supervision
Supervision
Regular and on-going clinical supervision is a very important factor of being a good, ethical counsellor.
Share your struggles and successes
All student and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists need regular (and usually monthly) clinical supervision. One-to-one supervision provides a safe place for you to talk through your client work in a confidential space, any ethical dilemmas you might face, theoretical questions that might come up, organisations struggles, your own personal journey in counselling, or anything else related to the field of counselling. Supervision can take place online, as well as face-to-face.
I work by the seven-eyed model, as originally designed by Hawkins and Shohet, which looks at:
- Looking at the client
- Interventions with the client
- Client-therapist relationship
- Therapist's Process
- Therapist - Supervisor relationship
- Supervisor's Process
- Wider context

We will always have a one-to-one session first to see how it would feel for the both of us to work together.
