Counselling, Trauma Therapy & Supervision

       About us:
Born and raised in the Netherlands, I started a four-year bachelor to become a teacher of primary education. As I wanted to specialise more in supporting people with their difficulties in life, this resulted in becoming a registered Counsellor/ Social worker, completing a four-year bachelor at the Hogeschool Utrecht in the Netherlands. In addition I completed a Diploma in therapeutic Counselling. I am also a Counselling Supervisor with the mental health organisation MIND.
My training was integrative of nature, using different methods to suit the client’s needs, such as Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Trauma-Focussed Work. For over 10 years I have specialised in working with trauma. Working for Victim Support I have worked with  survivors of physical and sexual violence, traffics accidents, burglaries, and any other forms of trauma. After my immigration to  England, I have provided one-to-one counselling to survivors of sexual abuse and related trauma and I have run therapeutic trauma groups. I also currently work with victims of human trafficking.
I am a MBACP registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I also carry a registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council. I work along the ethical standards of both BACP and HCPC.

We also provide counselling and therapy for Dutch people. If this would apply to you, please don't hesitate to contact us.
